Place your bids to win this incredible experience to meet with Fifth Season's Director of Development & Production, Caroline Vanstrom, and EVP of TV Development & Production, Jill Arthur!
We'd love to offer a time for people to learn more about the development process specifically at an independent studio. Fifth Season has made series such as Severance, Tokyo Vice, Scenes From a Marriage, and Nine Perfect Strangers. We've also handled sales and distribution on projects including Killing Eve and Normal People. We are hoping we can make this an open forum for discussion about everything from how to crack into the industry to the changes we've seen and the plans for navigating ahead out of the writer's strike this year and the current SAG strike.
Jill Arthur is the Executive Vice President of TV Development and production at Fifth Season. Currently, she is overseeing the development and production of Hulu/Onyx Collective’s upcoming The Plot starring Mahershala Ali and based on Jean Hanff Korelitz’s NYT bestselling novel, amongst many other projects. Arthur joined Fifth Season from Amazon Studios, where she was a Senior Development and Programming Executive for almost ten years. During her tenure at Amazon, Arthur worked across comedy and drama and was responsible for spearheading many of the company’s award-winning and culturally impactful series including Lulu Wang & Nicole Kidman’s highly anticipated Expats, Emmy-nominated Catastrophe, Emmy-nominated Hanna, Red Oaks, With Love, The Power, The Wilds, Forever, and The Tick. She has also developed numerous projects with Nicole Kidman’s Blossom Films and a TV remake of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo with The Crown producer Left Bank Pictures. Prior to Amazon Studios, Arthur was SVP, Head of Film & TV at Jerry Weintraub Productions, where she was instrumental in setting up Westworld at HBO and oversaw the development and production of some of the company’s most successful projects, including the Emmy-winning Behind the Candelabra and The Legend of Tarzan. A member of The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), Arthur started her career as an agent in the Motion Picture Literary department at ICM Partners.

Caroline has worked at the studio for four years and oversees several of the studio's first-look and overall deals including Oscar Isaac's Mad Gene Entertainment, Alan Poul's Boku Films, The Ink Factory, Jason Woliner & Nick Hatton's Swindle Pictures, and Drew Comins' Creative Engine, among other development with producers like Tessa Thompson's Viva Maude and Likely Story. Prior to Fifth Season/Endeavor Content, Caroline worked as the TV Coordinator at Searchlight Television and started her career as Nancy Utley's assistant when she was the Co-Head of Fox Searchlight Pictures.
