After last season, who better to meet than Station 19's Boris Kodjoe, Battalion Chief Robert Sullivan? What will happen with Andy? And so many more unanswered questions.
Outside of ABC hit show Station 19, you may know Boris from his role as congressman Brett Cole on House of Cards, Dr. Will Campbell on Code Black, Phil Stacy Miller on The Last Man On Earth, or Luther in the Resident Evil series. Or, perhaps you know both him and his wife Nicole Ari Parker from the Showtime drama Soul Food, which earned three NAACP Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor. Boris’ credits extend to Broadway, where he made his debut in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof opposite James Earl Jones.
A global citizen of German and Ghanian descent, Boris helped lead the inaugural Essence Full Circle Festival in Ghana alongside President Akufo-Addo raising $70 million in tourism revenue. Efforts continue for long-term economic empowerment, growth and cross-sector job creation in Black communities globally through increased engagement, innovation, entrepreneurship, and investment.
The Kodjoe Family Foundation, honors their daughter Sophie who was diagnosed with Spina Bifida at birth. By dedicating themselves to a healthy lifestyle they found ways to address not only their daughters mental, physical and medical needs but also the needs of their entire family. The foundation advocates for the prevention of neural tube defects through folic acid fortification.
During the COVID-19 pandemic Boris and his family launched #HelpOurHeroes that donates to our healthcare personnel and frontline heroes. To date, they have donated over 500K masks. GymWrap, founded by Nicole Ari Parker (Boris’s wife) makes masks in support of first responders, medical workers, and social workers. With every mask purchased, they have donated masks to those in need of protection.
