As Chairman and CEO of RadicalMedia, Jon Kamen has helmed one of the world’s leading producers of premium content across all media platforms. A prolific creator and producer of television programming, documentaries, live events and interactive design. With over 175 film and television credits to his name, Jon’s artistic vision has been the force behind many Oscar, Emmy, Grammy, Golden Globe and Peabody Award-winning and nominated titles. Their Academy Awards nominations and win with films like The Fog of War, Paradise Lost and What Happened, Miss Simone? are amongst the many other successful series they’ve produced and continue to produce for Apple, Netflix, HBO, Showtime, History, National Geographic, Hulu and Discovery.
Kamen’s recent producer credits include Amir ‘Questlove’ Thompson’s Summer of Soul, which premiered at Sundance Film Festival 2021 received the documentary Grand Jury Prize and Audience Award and was acquired by Searchlight/Hulu; 12-time Emmy-nominated Hamilton available on Disney+; 6-time Emmy-nominated David Byrne’s American Utopia, directed by Spike Lee, and debuted at the Toronto Film Festival to high praise; the multi-platform initiative, PBS American Portrait; Netflix’s Jeffrey Epstein: Filthy Rich; and History Channel’s highest performing mini-series ever, GRANT.
Kamen is a recipient of a Grammy, the 2018 IFP Gotham Awards, Mayor Bloomberg’s “Made in NY” Award and the Smithsonian’s National Design Award. He currently serves as a Vice Chair of the board of trustees for Rhode Island School of Design, The Museum of the Moving Image, and Mr. Holland’s Opus Foundation.
