Meet award-winning writer, director, and Little Fires Everywhere co-executive producer Amy Talkington!
Join Amy Talkington for a virtual one-on-one session! You can work through a pitch, talk through script ideas, ask questions about working in film/tv, or whatever else you want to talk about!
Amy co-executive produced and wrote for Hulu's LITTLE FIRES EVERYWHERE (starring Kerry Washington and Reese Witherspoon) and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy for "Outstanding Limited Series." Amy has written for all the major studios including Netflix, HBO Max, Hulu, A&E, ABC, Universal, Columbia Pictures, Sony, Lionsgate, and Disney.
Her gift for channeling young voices is also evident in the WGA award winner Disney Channel's AVALON HIGH, ABC Family's BRAVE NEW GIRL, and her YA novel LIV, FOREVER.
Amy's passionate love for music has followed Amy through life and her writing, including her script for the feature VALLEY GIRL, UNDERCOVER, and her upcoming personal project DIX.
She wrote and directed the feature film THE NIGHT OF THE WHITE POINTS, which premiered at Tribeca Film Festival in 2008. Her short films SECOND SKIN, BUST, BUST, and NUMBER ONE FAN were selected for numerous distinguished festivals, including Sundance, and have received accolades and top prizes including the New Line Cinema award for Best Director. Her early directing career found her pushing boundaries with experiments in new media, pioneering the web series as we know it today, and she literally made the (film) history books for directing the first ever 360-degree movie, THE NEW ARRIVAL. Filmmaker Magazine named her one of "25 New Indie Faces to Watch" and she was singled out as an up and coming director by VOGUE magazine.
Amy is currently in development on a new series for Hulu based on the book MALIBU RISING by Taylor Jenkins Reid.
