Martin Fichtner re-joined Silver Lake in 2010 and is a Managing Director of Silver Lake Kraftwerk. He has extensive experience in finding, executing and adding value to private equity investments in the technology and technology-related sectors. From 2004 to 2010, Mr. Fichtner was a principal at Elevation Partners and focused on private equity investments in the media, entertainment, and consumer-related technology sectors. Prior to Elevation, he was an associate at Silver Lake Partners and focused on private equity investments in the software, semiconductor, network equipment, and other technology sectors. Previously, he worked as an investment banker in the Technology Group at Goldman, Sachs & Co. Mr. Fichtner holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering with distinction and an M.S. in Engineering Economic Systems and Operations Research from Stanford University.
Matt Rechtin is an Associate in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications Group in the Firm’s San Francisco office. While at Lazard, Mr. Rechtin has been involved in a variety of M&A advisory assignments including: the acquisitions of Trade Service, ALK Technologies, Vico Software, TMW Systems, SketchUp, a division of Google, GEOTrac, StruCad and Plancal by Trimble and the sale of Strangeloop Networks to Radware.
Prior to joining Lazard, Mr. Rechtin worked at RBC Capital Markets in the Technology group where he worked on a variety of equity, debt and M&A assignments, including the sale of Phoenix Technologies to Marlin Equity. Prior to RBC Capital Markets, Mr. Rechtin worked at W.J. Mayer Securities where he structured mortgage backed securities. Mr. Rechtin has also worked at Wall Street Analytics, a structured finance software provider acquired by Moody’s, and Niku Corporation, a professional services automation business acquired by CA.
