Todd Goldstein, Chief Revenue Officer, AEG, has been a professional in the Sports and Entertainment industry with over seventeen years of experience in innovative and creative leadership in the areas of global business development, marketing and sales.
Recently named as AEG’s first Chief Revenue officer, Goldstein oversees the management, growth and financial oversight of key divisions of AEG including Global Partnerships, L.A. LIVE, Premium Seating, Creative Services, Corporate Marketing, Merchandising, The GRAMMY Museum, AEG and AXS digital and AXS TV.
Goldstein also oversees AEG’s ownership agreement of the 1001-room / 54-story JW Marriott and The Ritz-Carlton hotels at L.A. LIVE as well as sales of The Ritz-Carlton Residences at L.A. LIVE which have reached 85% (of 224 available) as a result of leading the downtown Los Angeles real estate market during the first six months of 2013.
In addition to his newly expanded role, Goldstein also serves as President and CEO of AEG’s Global Partnerships business group, formed atop the company’s organizational structure and guiding the company’s sales efforts globally across all properties including sports, venues, music, real estate and media. Under his direction, AEG Global Partnerships has achieved over $400 million of gross sponsorship revenue and premium sales annually.
In February of 2011 the Global Partnerships group confirmed that Farmers Insurance had agreed to become the Naming Rights partner in AEG’s planned vision to bring the NFL back to Los Angeles. The 30-year deal provides naming rights for a 1.7 million square foot stadium designed to host football games, international soccer matches and other championship competitions along with concerts and entertainment events. The stadium will be called Farmers Field and is the largest long-term commitment in naming rights history.
Shortly after his instrumental role in establishing Sprint as the Naming Rights partner for Sprint Center in Kansas City, Mo., in 2008 Goldstein was named President of AEG Global Partnerships which was formed to control the premium sales inventory for all company owned or controlled venues such as STAPLES Center, StubHub Center, Sprint Center and London’s The O2 among others while ultimately establishing new highs in revenue for each of these properties. Goldstein has also played an active role in identifying areas of corporate affiliation and involvement such as expanding the company’s relationship with ESPN that ultimately brought the X Games and ESPY Awards to Los Angeles as well as ESPN west coast broadcast facilities to L.A. LIVE.
Goldstein has been honored three times (2009, 2010 and 2011) by the Sports Business Journal with their Forty Under 40 award as one of industry’s most influential sports executives under the age of 40. On the occasion of receiving his third award, he was inducted into the Business Journal’s Forty Under 40 Hall of Fame.
As part of Creative Artists Agency’s long-standing and deep commitment to education, CAA will host its second annual “School Day” event on September 18th, a fundraising effort to support students in public education. The auction includes an array of one-of-a-kind experiences, including the opportunity to dine with industry leaders from the world of technology, entertainment, sports, and beyond, as well as some of Hollywood’s biggest names at the exclusive “School Day Lunch With A Leader” luncheon hosted simultaneously on September 18th at Bouchon in Beverly Hills and The Palm restaurants in New York City and Nashville.
