Bid to win 2 signed photographs of Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson by photographer David Woo. Plus you will receive an original copy of Texas Golf '92 from February 16, 1992 in which one of the photographs was featured.
Ben Hogan and Byron Nelson, two of Texas’ greatest contributions to golf, were born within six months of each other, and changed the game of golf in remarkable ways. Rarely photographed together, the two golfers got together at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth to commemorate turning 80-years-old in 1992. These photographs were featured in The Dallas Morning News special section, Texas Golf ’92 on Sunday, February 16, 1992.

David Woo is a 35-year veteran photographer with The Dallas Morning News. He graduated from The University of Texas in Austin in 1976 with a B.A. in Photo-Journalism, and was hired by the newspaper for his first job out of college at the age of 21. David was part of The Dallas Morning News staff that won the Pulitzer Prize for news photography in 2005 for their coverage of Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. In 1984, David was a runner-up for the Pulitzer in feature photography for his coverage of the civil wars in El Salvador and Nicaragua. In 1986, he was again runner-up for the Pulitzer, this time for news photography and coverage of the Mexico City earthquake with newspaper colleagues Richard Pruitt and Juan Garcia. So far David's career has taken him to over 20 countries. In 2010 he was in Iraq doing a story on his son Jake, who is in the U.S. Army serving our country. His first book, "Texas Women,” was published in 1984. It featured portraits of some of the state’s most memorable people by David and Richard Pruitt. David said that most of the people he photographed for his latest book, "Top Dogs And Their Pets,” were people he met over the years while on assignment for the newspaper. David is married to Suzi Woo. They have five children, two grandchildren and a lovable Basset Hound named Chester.
