Carla Singer is the president and executive producer of Carla Singer Productions, an independent production company that has produced over 30 television movies. She most recently completed Freshman Father, a Hallmark Channel movie. In addition she has produced T*witches Too, a sequel to T*witches, a television movie for Disney Channel. Her extensive credits include the made for television movies, "A Marriage Of Convenience," starring Jane Seymour, ”Indefensible: The Truth About Edward Brannigan," starring Brian Dennehy, ”Taken Away," "Angel Flight Down" and "Cold Heart Of A Killer." For TNT, she produced "The Portrait" starring Gregory Peck and Lauren Bacall, and "Forgotten Prisoners: The Amnesty Files.” She also produced "A Refusenik's Diary," a documentary for PBS Television for which she earned an Emmy®. Ms. Singer is a former Vice President of Drama Programming for CBS Television. Under her tenure, the extremely successful "Murder, She Wrote" was developed and produced as well as successful series like "Scarecrow and Mrs. King" and "The Equalizer."
Ms. Singer has directed, written, and produced for BBC Television in London, England, CTV and CITY-TV in Canada, and Israel Television in Jerusalem. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brandeis University, M.A. in Special Education from Hebrew University and an Executive MBA from UCLA. She has served on the boards of the American Jewish Committee and the Americans for Peace Now and is a member of the Women’s Forum of NY and the International Women’s Forum.
