The pair first worked together on The Ben Stiller Show and later collaborated on the beloved HBO’s Mr. Show with Bob and David from, which has since become an influential comedy touchstone for a generation of performers. The series is composed of surreal sketch comedy pieces dealing with everything from politics and religion to popular culture. The show features a cast of comics that includes Jack Black, Mary Lynn Rajskub and Sarah Silverman. Their most recent project together is a documentary of their adventure hiking Machu Picchu while sharing stories about their various experiences and fascinations, which will come out next year.
Bob Odenkirk is considered one of the most influential figures in modern comedy. He is known for many iconic characters including his Emmy-winning and Golden Globe nominated role as Saul Goodman in Better Call Saul, a spin-off of Breaking Bad, where he originated the role. Odenkirk continued to create, produce, and write shows such as Tenacious D, Tom Goes to the Mayor, Derek & Simon, The Birthday Boys, and With Bob & David. He has had recurring roles in several television shows, including How I Met Your Mother, Entourage, Tim and Eric Awesome Show and Great Job! Since his time on Breaking Bad, he has acted in more serious and critically acclaimed films, including The Giant Mechanical Man, The Spectacular Now, Nebraska and the action-thriller Nobody.
David Cross is an inventive performer, writer, and producer on stage and screen. For television, Cross wrote, directed and produced tv series Bliss and Todd Margaret, he starred as Tobias Fünke from the beloved show Arrested Development and had a guest arc on Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt. On the big screen, Cross was part of the ensemble cast with Tom Hanks and Meryl Streep in Steven Spielberg’s The Post and appeared in the independent features, Kill Your Darlings, and in It's a Disaster. Other film credits include Year One, Waiting for Guffman, Men in Black and Men in Black II, Ghost World, Michel Gondry’s Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Pitch Perfect 2, I’m Not There, and provided his vocal talents for several animated films, including Megamind, the Kung Fu Panda franchise and Curious George.
