Description of piece: Brian Davis' photorealistic Cymbidium, a limited edition colored lithographic is so masterfully rendered it is difficult to discern from an actual photograph. Painting from his own photographs, Davis' work illuminates natural flowers and landscapes with radiant light and texture.
This large work, measuring 28" in height x 20" width, is numbered and hand-signed by the artist, who has added "81" next to his signature, the year this work was created. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Artist bio: Greatly influenced by the Dutch Masters, along with the artists of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, Davis is inspired by images of highly stylized renditions of birds and flowers and the intensity of color achieved by multiple layers of paint.
A native Californian, born into a family of musician parents in 1946, Brian Davis was formally educated in Fine Art at Pierce College and California State University-Los Angeles. Brian Davis paintings are found in some of the most sophisticated private and public collections: Quincy Jones, Barbra Streisand, Cher, Henry Winkler, Herb Alpert, Allen Carr, The Ford Family, The Los Angeles Museum of Art-Permanent Print Collection, Huntington Library, Laguna Beach and Long Beach Museums of Art, The Grunwald Center for Graphic Art at UCLA, MGM Grand Hotel in Reno, Hyatt House in Los Angeles, and the Hilton Hotel in Atlanta are among those who hold Brian Davis paintings in their collections.
