Tom Carter is a literary manager and film and television producer living in Los Angeles. He is the founder of Artillery Creative, a multimedia development, production, and literary management company, and co-founder of the film and television development fund, Oil & Cattle. In 2006, Carter, co-founded Station3, a talent management and production company. Within a few years, Station3 became one of the most sought-after boutique representation and independent film production companies in Hollywood, representing lead actors in nearly every Broadway show, and 20+ series regulars working in television. Tom’s first film, Gardens of the Night, opened the Berlinale International Film Festival in 2008, in main competition, alongside Martin Scorsese’s Shine a Light, and Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood.
In 2009, Tom founded Artillery Creative Collective, a literary management company that focuses on identifying, developing, and supporting the careers of emerging and commercially established writers and filmmakers. He represents clients who are writing and producing film and television projects across all the current and emerging digital platforms including HBO, Amazon, FX, Netflix, Starz, Freeform, FOX, ABC, and Hulu. In 2016, Thomas co-founded Oil & Cattle, an entertainment acquisition and development fund focused on identifying commercially viable intellectual property for a sophisticated audience. To date, O&C has optioned nine intellectual properties including Octavia Butler’s Dawn (Macro/Ava Duvernay), Sean Flynn’s GQ article Murder in the Meth Lab, and David Kushner’s Rolling Stone article The Rise and Fall of a Bitcoin Kingpin (Jon Chu directing), Kirk Wallace Johnson’s Edgar-nominated The Feather Thief for Amazon Studios. O&C currently has film and television projects set up at Amazon, Apple, Netflix, and FX.
