TriForce Short Film Festival (TFSFF.com) is a short film festival brings together film-makers with the movers and shakers in the industry, enabling emerging artists to break into the mainstream. 16 shortlisted films get the chance to be seen on the big screen, in front of key industry representatives, with the winning film-makers earning career development opportunities with our industry partners, as well as a cash prize for their next project.
TFSFF takes place at the renowned British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA), in the heart of Picadilly; presenting a packed day of seminars tackling the key issues of the industry and offering invaluable advice from industry professionals, alongside a bustling industry expo and screenings of the shortlisted films. Concluding with a Red Carpet Gala evening attended by high profile supporters, the TFSFF is the place to see untapped and diverse talent, showcasing innovative story-telling and visually stunning short films.
Your host, British Television and Film Star, and co-founder of Triforce Network, Jimmy Akingbola, is best known for his role as Valentine in SkyOne’s comedy series In The Long Run, starring alongside Idris Elba. Akingbola also starred in the CW hit series Arrow, where he played the popular character "Baron Reiter", alongside Stephen Amell and Emily Bett Rikards. Akingbola has since television played roles on the popular BBC BAFTA Winning sitcom "Rev" and shows like The Crouches, Stupid!, The Bill, The Royal, The South Bank Show, Roger Roger, Holby City, Doctors, New Tricks, Comedy Lab, Longford, Silk, Holby Blue and more.
Jimmy became a UPI Education supporter after starring with Lorey Hayes (a UPI Education International Advisor) in NCIS’s Beastmaster. Akingbola’s Film roles include starring in the international film "Anansi" alongside Naomie Harris, Danny Sapani and Maynard Eziashi’: a Leading role in the film "The Dimples Cry" and starring alongside Ray Fearon in the BBC film "Hominid". He is also featured in the Netflix film "Spectral" and in Nour Wazzi’s short film "Habibti" alongside Hiam Abbas.London Theater audiences know Akingbola best for starring in The Cut opposite Ian McKellen, directed by Michael Grandage.
