You and a guest will enjoy a 4-day philanthropic journey for 2 from Cambodia's private island eco-resort, Song Saa!
Enjoy the opportunity to spend 4 nights at the heavenly Song Saa Private Island, Cambodia’s very first private island resort. Spanning the isles of Koh Ouen and Koh Bong in the Koh Rong Archipelago, the resort is made up of 27 intimate villas built from sustainable materials, each in perfect harmony with the natural environment. Inspired by Cambodian fishing villages with features such as over-water buildings, thatch roofs and drift wood furnishings, the resort is highly individual in design, uncompromising on luxuries but designed to reflect the simple beauty of the archipelago and its natural surroundings.
You and your guest will be staying in one of the resort’s ocean-facing villas complete with a private pool, an outdoor shower and private veranda. At the heart of the resort is the Vista Restaurant & lounge Bar which hovers over the ocean to take in dramatic sunsets, seascapes and mystical starry nights. Globally-acclaimed executive chef Joel Wilkinson combines traditional Khmer flavours with delicious local produce to offer guests world-class Cambodian cuisine. Guests can choose to enjoy dishes under the stars on one of the resort’s spectacularly private beaches, in the overwater restaurant or in the intimate setting of their private villa.
The Song Saa Spa, which recently launched a bespoke programme of Buddhist-inspired healing and wellness retreats is housed in treatment spaces dotted across the island and offers an extensive range of treatments including under-water meditation or night-time yoga.
From the base at Song Saa, you and your guest will be partaking in a 4-day Philanthropic Journey led by the expert staff of the Song Saa Foundation. You will have the opportunity to participate in pioneering conservation and community projects in the surrounding islands of the Archipelago, promoting a sustainable future for its people and places. Activities will include: collaborating with the Foundation’s resident marine biologist to collect surveys of the coral reefs; participating in the Boat of Hope sustainability outreach clinics; helping to lead classes in environment education meeting with local experts, leaders and philanthropic advisors; and attending evening cultural events.
Proceeds benefit Gabrielle's Angel Foundation UK.
