Intern for 1 week with Horacio LeDon, President of Development Marketing, Florida and California, for real estate firm Douglas Elliman in Miami. During the week you will learn all about the real estate business from one of the best in the industry!
Established in 1911, Douglas Elliman has grown to become the largest regional and the nation’s fourth largest real estate company, with a current network of more than 4,000 agents in over 70 offices throughout Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island (including the Hamptons and North Fork), Westchester and Putnam Counties, as well as South Florida and California. In addition, via a strategic partnership with Knight Frank Residential, Douglas Elliman’s powerful network extends to 43 countries across six continents.
Horacio LeDon serves in the dual role of President of Development Marketing, Florida and California. Horacio brings an analytical and informed approach to every deal that is the exception rather than the rule among real estate professionals. Horacio has handled high-end buildings with unparalleled expertise and extraordinary attention to detail. In the past 11 years, he has been involved in over $2 Billion in sales in the New York, Los Angeles, and Florida markets. Currently licensed in all three, he is only one of a handful of people with this distinction and the only one addressing the ultra luxury arena in these markets.
Previously he held a senior position at The Related Companies where he worked on prestigious properties such as Superior Ink, The Harrison and The Century in Los Angeles . Horacio was deeply involved in all aspects of the property development, sales & marketing. At Related, he worked closely with Susan de França, CEO of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing with creative, design, and architecture, development and sales teams, which ultimately set the foundation for his collaboration with her today.
In 2011 he was appointed Senior Vice President for Starwood Capital’s ST Residential unit where he was responsible for the sales and marketing of 11 buildings in eight states.
Horacio spent the last few years developing a specialized real estate firm focusing on ultra luxury properties with offices in New York, London, and Los Angeles, where he sold over 62 million dollars of high end properties in 2011 such as 165 Charles, The Touraine, Canyon Ranch, and The Caledonia.
