The Committee of French-Speaking Societies presents
“The Art of Being French”
Founded in 1924, the Committee operates as an umbrella organization for over 50 French-speaking cultural, regional, philanthropic, and professional societies, some of which date back to the 18th and 19th centuries. A complete list is available at

Our mission is to serve as a coordinating body among francophone organizations, and to facilitate the pooling of resources, ideas, and events within the Franco-American community. We also strive to build a bridge between the Franco-American community and the citizens of our spectacular host city, New York.
The Committee of French-Speaking Societies (CAF) is committed to a number of charitable causes promoting French language and culture in our city, and aiding French-Americans in need.
The Committee’s 86th annual event, Bastille Day Ball 2010 will take place on Friday July 9th at The Harmonie Club in New York City. In conjunction with this event, we are pleased to announce that a portion of our auction’s proceeds will benefit the Entraide Française, Inc. as well as the NY French American Charter School in Harlem, NY.
