CureDuchenne is a nonprofit organization that raises awareness & funds specifically aimed at finding medical treatments for Duchenne, a form of muscular dystrophy that affects boys. These children are typically diagnosed by the age of five, in a wheelchair by age 12, & frequently completely paralyzed by their late teens. Historically, most patients with Duchenne do not live to see adulthood. CureDuchenne works closely with leading scientists in the field to determine the most viable research products that will accelerate the clinical trials & bring potential life saving drugs to boys living with the disease.
