This online charity auction benefits the non-profit organization, Women's Venture Fund (WVF). The WVF provides microloans, business training and mentoring for women entrepreneurs in under served urban communities. WVF is the only organization in the New York area that addresses the specific credit and business training needs of low-income women. As their clients are unable to qualify for services from conventional financial institutions, receiving these much needed funds and services engages and enhances their skills and reinforces their entrepreneurial identity and chances for success.

The Women's Venture Fund is holding their annual "Defining Moments" gala on September 23, 2008 at Capitale, with Tamara Jacobs , CEO of her eponymous executive communications company, as the keynote speaker. Bonnie Sommerville from the TV Series, "Cashmere Mafia," and currently starring in the upcoming films, "The Ugly Truth" with Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler and "Labor Pains" with Lindsey Lohan, is the MC for the event. In addition, WVF will be featured in Shape Magazine and the team from CNBC's "Fast Money" will be their auctioneers.

With about 300 attendees each year, this is their largest annual fundraiser, and there are still corporate and individual sponsorships available.
