In homage to WWD’s 100th Anniversary, and in celebration of Tommy Hilfiger’s 25th Anniversary, Tommy Hilfiger has reinterpreted a classic, four-wheel drive, 1989 Jeep Grand Wagoneer, with a modern American twist. The Jeep Grand Wagoneer is a reinterpretation of one of the vehicles featured in the Fall 2010 advertising campaign that first introduced “The Hilfigers” – with some extra, special touches.
The Jeep Grand Wagoneer at auction has the characteristic wood-grain paneled sides accentuated with a “Tommy Hilfiger 25th Anniversary” pinstripe. The interior seating is reupholstered with Tommy Hilfiger’s signature plaid fabric. Red sisal mats carpet the floors, while the steering wheel is wrapped in navy cowhide leather with red stitching. “Tommy Hilfiger for WWD 100th” is mounted in vinyl on the hood, and a gold letter “H” graces the driver’s door and passenger doors. A Tommy Hilfiger logo is marked on the tailgate.
Proceeds:
Tommy Hilfiger USA, Inc. will donate all net proceeds received from the auction (i.e., excluding costs incurred in the administration of the auction) to Millenium Promise (www.millenniumpromise.org. ), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Neither Tommy Hilfiger USA, Inc. nor WWD will retain any portion of the proceeds obtained from the sale of the vehicle. Please consult your tax advisor for any tax advice, including the deductibility of any sums paid in connection with the auction, or bidding for, purchasing or receiving the vehicle.

Upon execution of the Motor Vehicle Bill of Sale, the winner will be required to sign a waiver and release of liability, acknowledging, among other things, the foregoing disclaimer of warranties. Please note that formalities in the transfer of title are still being completed. While Tommy Hilfiger USA, Inc. shall use all reasonable efforts to effect the sale of the vehicle as soon as possible (the quicker the sale takes place, the quicker these important funds can be donated to a great cause), by bidding on the vehicle you expressly understand and agree that, if for any reason whatsoever, title cannot be conveyed to the winner, Tommy Hilfiger USA, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the auction of and prospective sale of the vehicle and return the bid price bid to the winner. In that event, the winner’s sole remedy shall be limited to a return of the bid price paid. It is estimated that closing of the sale of the vehicle and transfer of title may take up to 90 days.
The winner is responsible for the sales tax in the State of New York, registration fees, title transfer fees, and all other taxes and fees that may be applicable depending on the location of the winner. The vehicle is located in the State of New York. Upon closure of sale, the winner can arrange for pickup in the State of New York; or for delivery. All delivery fees and/or transportation costs will be the winner’s responsibility.
Charitybuzz will help facilitate formalities regarding the sale of the car and pickup or delivery.
