Soles4Souls is an international non-profit with a simple mission, to
collect and give shoes. In a little over 6 years, Soles4Souls has collected and
distributed over 13 million pairs in 125+ countries. With over 300
million children in the world without access to footwear, our mission is
far from being complete. Shoes are donated from the footwear industry,
individuals, groups and for $1 we can distribute those to the needy
worldwide.
Barefoot Week is our national holiday. On the first week of June each
year we select 5 cities to distribute thousands of pairs of shoes back
to in the US. In 2011 the cities are Detroit, St. Louis, Boston, Los
Angeles and Atlanta. As a part of the events that take place during
Barefoot Week, we are auctioning off celebrity autographed shoes to aid
our response to disasters around the world like the earthquake and
tsunami in Japan a few months back. Please consider bidding on your
favorite athlete or celebrity.
