From famed jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz -- with the help of a very special young designer -- a pair of floral motif post earrings of black spinel and green garnet set in 18K gold measuring approximately 1" (2.5 cm) in diameter. These gorgeous earrings tell a wonderful story of generosity, creativity and love thanks to their young designer, Sammi S.
In January, Gabrielle's Angel Foundation visited their friends at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington D.C. for a day of inspiration and art. Foundation Board Member and celebrity jeweler Lorraine Schwartz brought members of her team for a day of jewelry making with six very special children. The participants, ranging in age from 6 to 15, created one-of-a-kind designs. Sammi S., whose sister Lexi passed away from cancer, designed these one-of-a-kind floral earrings. Her creation was then manufactured by Lorraine's masterful team. Proceeds will fund a grant to provide jewelry and art therapy programs at Children's National Medical Center through a partnership with Gabrielle's Angel Foundation. Children’s National is a leader in cancer research throughout the United States and around the world. Their dedicated oncology team is renowned for their expertise in specialized and comprehensive oncology care for children and teens. Find out more at Gabrielle’s Angel Foundation website.
