Bid now for lunch for 4 people with Sally Quinn and Bob Woodward at Cafe Milano in Washington, D.C.
Bob Woodward has been a reporter for the Washington Post since 1971. He has covered every president since Richard Nixon. His and Carl Bernstein's reporting on the Watergate scandal resulted in President Nixon resigning in disgrace. He has written 17 books, all national best sellers, including "All the Presidents Men", "Inside the Clinton White House". and "Obama's Wars".
Sally Quinn not only covered the politics of our Nation's Capitol for the Washington Post, but its social life as well, and how the two intersected. She has seen it all. For the last decade, Quinn has pursued a religious education with the same drive and rigor she brought to politics. She is the founding editor of onfaith.co, a spin-off of "On Faith" which was an interactive feature on religion she founded seven years ago at the Washington Post. Quinn has published four books and is currently working on a memoir.
Since owner Franco Nuschese blazed onto the DC dining scene twenty years ago, Cafe Milano has been a power center for diplomats, politicians, journalists, broadcasters, lobbyists, entertainers, and all who enjoy fine Italian food and gracious attentive service.
Guests savor genuine Southern Coastal Italian cuisine in a setting reminiscent of a stylish Milan boutique. Framed designer scarves adorn the walls in a creative and colorful homage to Italian fashion. The ceiling gives way to coves of hand-painted murals celebrating Italian culture, including the stunning portrait of famed opera singer, Placido Domingo, in the room named in his honor.
During warm-weather months, the front wall of floor-to-ceiling windows open onto an outdoor sidewalk patio, adding a touch of Northern Italy to the Georgetown streetscape, creating one of the most sought after dining spots in Washington.
