The Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center (WHBPAC) is a community-based, nor-for-profit 501(c)3 arts organization that remains true to its founding mission:

-To create a thriving, year-round, cultural arts venue available to the widest and most diverse audience

-To serve as a focal point for the cultural aspirations of the area through year-round presenting and arts education programs

-To act as a catalyst to enhance the local economy through cultural tourism

-To enrich the community’s quality of life

History:
In May 1997, a not-for-profit community group called the Westhampton Beach Performing Arts Center, Inc. purchased the 1932 United Artist movie theater on Main Street in Westhampton Beach with seed funds raised from a broad cross-section of area residents and business owners. By July 1998, this historic theater had been completely transformed in a 425 seat, state-of-the-art, handicapped-accessible performing arts and film venue for Long Island residents and beyond. The theater continues operation by constant fund raising activities. Each year $1,600,000 is needed to keep the doors open and the curtain up.
