The mission of The Episcopal School of Los Angeles is to create and sustain a campus devoted to nurturing souls and minds in an intellectually rigorous and spiritually curious academic community. The purpose of the school is to enable young people to thrive in an atmosphere of diversity and to become ethical leaders in communities of faith, the nation, and the world. We are a school that will ask our graduates to take their skills, their privileges, and their lives, and to offer those gifts to their community and to the world.

Unlike any other school in Los Angeles, ESLA devotes over 50% of our operating budget to scholarship. 30% of our students receive full tuition support, more than 50% receive some level of tuition assistance, and those who are able to pay full tuition are dedicated to being a part of a community that serves the deepest needs of our city. Regardless of class, race, economics, religion or background, our students are bright, entrepreneurial, funny, innovative, curious young men and women being formed as ethical leaders for the 21st Century.
