This oversized color photograph captures NHL Hockey star-player Wayne Gretzky— widely considered to be one of the greatest athletes of the 20th century— in on-ice action, playing for the St. Louis Blues.

Framed in a raised reverse shadow-box white frame, offset with custom blue, red and white matting, the photograph has been hand-signed by Gretzky in a large, prominent signature in blue marker. His signature "Wayne Gretzky" includes Gretzky's jersey number "99"— and the mat includes a precision-cut "99" above the image, with "GRETZKY" across the full width of the lower mat. Framed size measures 21" in height x 16-3/4" width x 1-1/4" depth.

For two decades, Wayne Gretzky lifted hockey to new heights while establishing a career so unparalleled that he has been called "the greatest hockey player ever" by many sportswriters, players, and the NHL itself, and earned the nickname "The Great One". Gretzky played in the NHL for 20 seasons on 4 different teams (Oilers, Kings, Blues, Rangers), and is the leading point-scorer in National Hockey League history, with more assists than any other player has points. Gretzky is the only NHL player to total over 200 points in one season– a feat he accomplished four times. In addition, he tallied over 100 points in 16 professional seasons, 14 of them consecutive. At the time of his retirement in 1999, he held 61 NHL records: 40 regular-season records, 15 playoff records, and six All-Star records.

Wayne Gretzky's signature has been examined and authenticated by James Spence Authentication (JSA), assigned a unique alpha-numeric authenticating certification number, and the item is accompanied by a certificate of authentication from JSA.

Size: 21" in height x 16-3/4" width x 1-1/4" depth
