The original Veronese vase was blown for the first time in 1921 thanks to Vittorio Zecchin's intuition.
The artist, who was Venini's art director from 1921 to 1925, took his inspiration from a painting by Paulo Veronese which was completed in 1580 and is today kept at the Accademia Galleries in Venice. The glass work was so successful that it became the company's logo.
