This is your chance to pick the brains of Award Winning writer/producer/director/actor team Keith Gordon & Rachel Griffin over lunch in Los Angeles.

During lunch Keith and Rachel will share their combined wisdom of the entertainment industry from all sides and if asked will be glad to read your script or watch your film ahead of time, take notes and share them with you over lunch.

Keith Gordon is a director and actor, known for A Midnight Clear (1992), Waking the Dead (2000) and Mother Night (1996).

His awards and nominations include:

  • Independent Spirit Awards: Best Screenplay - A Midnight Clear (1992), Best First Feature -The Chocolate War (1988)
    • A Midnight Clear  was written, adapted and directed by Gordon, the film starred Ethan Hawke and Gary Sinise.
  • Catalonian International Film Festival: Best Film - The Singing Detective (2003)

Gordon has directed many television shows, including multiple episodes of Fargo, Homeland, Dexter, The Killing, The Leftovers, Nurse Jackie, The Bridge, Oliver Stone's Wild Palms mini-series, Night Visions, and Gideon’s Crossing, along with episodes of Masters of Sex, House, Rubicon, The Strain, Homicide, Showtime's award-winning anthology Fallen Angels among others. He directed the pilot episode for The Sundance Channel’s critically acclaimed Rectify, and served as the series’ co-executive producer for its first season. Keith has spent 11 summers as an advisor to young directors at the renowned Sundance Filmmaker’s Lab. He has also taught and mentored for the American Film Institute. IFP/Film Independent, and USC.

Rachel Griffin is an actress and producer, known for A Midnight Clear (1992), Crazy from the Heart (1991) and Delivering Milo (2001).

Rachel Griffin’s slate of projects ranges from a reality TV series with an established author and TV personality to a narrative feature film, originally developed with Philip Seymour Hoffman at his Cooper’s Town Productions and now carried forward by his long-time producing partner Emily Ziff. She produced the theatrical feature documentary Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop, along with Pariah’s Gavin Polone. The documentary, directed by Rodman Flender, is a verite-style, intimate portrait of Conan O’Brien while on the road with his Legally Prohibited From Being Funny On Television tour. 

Rachel Griffin has an extensive background in the entertainment industry. She began as an actor in independent films and award winning TV guest roles, then as Head of Production for commercial production companies, and Head of Production/Producer over their film and television divisions. Rachel was a producer for the acclaimed documentary Crips and Bloods: Made In America, directed by Stacy Peralta, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.

Keith Gordon and Rachel Griffin have been married since 1998.  They have a number of ventures at their company Sidetracked Productions and continue to piece together financing for their indie passion projects.

  • This experience will take place on a mutually agreed upon date between November 7, 2016 - November 6, 2017.
  • Valid for 2 people.
  • Participants must be at least 18.
  • Approximate duration: 2 hours including the script reading.
  • This is a private meet and greet.
  • The winner may take a photo.
  • The winner can take something small to be signed.
  • A meal is part of the event.
  • The meal cost is included.
  • Alcoholic beverages are included.
  • Gratuity is included.
  • Blackout dates: November 7th-December 21st, 2016, February 13th-April 28th, 2017.
  • Travel and accommodations are not included.
  • Cannot be resold or re-auctioned.
  • Based upon availability at the donor's discretion to be scheduled at a mutually agreed upon date.
  • If you have a film or a script to share get that to them ahead of time. Keith and Rachel will read your script or watch your film, and share notes when you meet for lunch.
  • If winner is not located in or willing to travel to LA, they would be happy to speak over the phone or on Skype.
  • We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz. Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.

The minimum processing and handling charge for this item is $9.95.

The minimum shipping, handling and applicable insurance charge for non-tangible items is $9.95. Detailed redemption information will be emailed to the winning bidder. The minimum shipping charge for hard copies of tickets and certificates is $14.95. The minimum shipping charge for merchandise is $19.95 (shipments outside the U.S. are subject to additional shipping and customs fees). Tickets, certificates and merchandise are typically shipped with signature required, unless otherwise specified, via professional carrier. In some cases, tickets will be left at the venue's "Will Call" window under the winner's name. Merchandise is insured for the winning amount.
