Jamie Roberts is head of casting for Walt Disney Animation Studios where she has worked on some of the most popular and highest-grossing animated films of all time, including Frozen, Zootopia, Tangled & Wreck-It Ralph. Ralph Breaks the Internet came out November 2018 and will be a huge success!

Named one of Elle magazine’s “Most Powerful Women in Hollywood,” Roberts oversees all aspects of casting for the studio’s animated theatrical releases working closely with Disney’s stable of directors, writers and producers. Roberts has received multiple honors for her work, including three Artios Awards which are presented annually by the Casting Society of America.
Roberts received wide-acclaim for her casting of Idina Menzel as the voice of Elsa in Frozen, which went on to gross $1.3 billion and become the highest-grossing animated film in history and won an Academy Award for Best Animated Film. Roberts also cast Zootopia, which grossed just over $1 billion and is the fourth highest grossing film, and “Big Hero 6,” which won an Oscar for Best Animated Film. Most recently, Roberts cast Moana, one of the studios most anticipated releases for 2016, the title role of which Roberts cast after a high-profile worldwide search for Disney’s newest princess.
Before joining Disney Animation Studios, Roberts was director of feature casting at Fox Filmed Entertainment, working on such features as John Tucker Must Die & Garfield 2. As an independent casting associate, Roberts is credited on films including Enchanted, Mean Girls, Freaky Friday & Insomnia.
A Los Angeles native, Roberts is a member of the Casting Society of America and has nearly two decades experience in casting film and television both animated and live-action. Jamie has won three Artios Awards and is also a member of the academy.
