Want to break into reality TV?
This is your rare opportunity to learn about the biz from two executives (and best friends) who specialize in developing unscripted television, working with celebrity talent, and pitching / selling original concepts.
Both known for their go-getter mentalities, their joint rolodexes cover almost every producer, network executive, and power player in town.
Lauren Rosenberg has worked in television for over a decade at both major talent agencies and prolific reality TV production companies & studios. The sink-or-swimenvironment of William Morris Endeavor is definitely where Lauren cut her teeth, but as she discovered as the Manager of Development at 51 Minds, development was her true calling. She currently identifies, hones, and sells potential reality television properties as Vice President of Development at Trooper Entertainment.
Over the past seven years, she has created and pitched projects that have been set up at YouTube, HGTV, MTV, SyFy, Bravo, A&E, TruTV, TLC, Discovery, CMT, AMC, Animal Planet, Travel Channel, and more, and served as Co-Executive Producer on the following Lionsgate series: Monica The Medium, the first unscripted show to run multiple seasons on Freeform / ABC Family, OWN’s Checked Inn, and as Producer on the E! series Model Squad. Additionally, she served as producer on the Comedy Central digital series Man Up with Theo Von.
On the scripted side, she has helped package animated half-hours that have sold to Comedy Central and FX as script orders. Not to mention, she also maintains a side hustle as an in-demand Hollywood matchmaker.
Adam Sussman has worked in non-scripted TV for the last 12 years – from his start at HBO to his current role as Vice President of Development at Furry Prawn Productions based at NBCUniversal. He creates, develops, and sells original formats, docu-series, and specials. With a knack for talent, Adam has packaged and developed original projects around superstar Zac Efron, funnyman Ken Jeong, Oscar-winner Marlee Matlin, iconic director / choreographer Kenny Ortega, actor and activist Matt McGorry, and James Beard award winner Andrew Zimmern, just to name a few.
Previously Director of Development for Steele Mill Productions at NBCU, Adam helped conceive the initial concept for Get Out Alive with Bear Grylls and contributed to the development of American Dream Builders and Love in the Wild II. As Manager of Development at Zodiak USA, he was instrumental in the conception of Jessica Simpson’s The Price of Beauty.
He started his career working in comedy at Moffitt-Lee Productions and HBO’s The Comedy Festival. From broadcast networks to streaming to big flashy formats to cable docuseries, Adam and Lauren will provide a 360 degree view of the industry. And, most of all, the conversation with these two will be absolutely delightful and most likely hilarious on top of being fruitful and informative.
Together, Lauren and Adam – with the help of close friends – have raised close to a million dollars for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
