Internationally recognized Pop Artist, Burton Morris, is best known for his portrayal of everyday ideas and objects, transforming popular culture icons into thought provoking works of fine art. His distinct style is characterized by radiant black outlines and vivid colors that emit energy in all of his work.
Morris first gained national attention in the mid-1990’s when his artwork was chosen to hang on the set of the NBC hit television series Friends throughout their 10 seasons. Over the years, his artwork has been selected as the signature image for the 76th Annual Academy Awards, the FIFA World Cup, the 38th Montreux Jazz Festival, the 2004 Summer Olympic Games, the 2006 Major League Baseball All-Star Game, the 2012 One Young World Conference, and the USGA 2016 U.S. Open.

Proceeds from the sale of this art will benefit the Children's Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit institution that provides pediatric health care and helps its patients more than 528,000 times each year in a setting designed just for their needs. It began in 1901 in a small house on the corner of Alpine and Castelar Streets (now Hill St. in Chinatown) and today its medical experts offer more than 350 pediatric specialty programs and services to meet the needs of its patients.

As the first and largest pediatric hospital in Southern California, CHLA relies on the generosity of philanthropists in the community to support compassionate patient care, leading-edge education of the caregivers of tomorrow and innovative research efforts that impact children at our hospital and around the world.
