A note from Mark Weiss:"The first time I photographed Bret Michaels was in 1986. I set up a backdrop in the band’s apartment. Poison’s first album, LOOK WHAT THE CAT DRAGGED IN was just released and went triple platinum with their hit Talk Dirty To Me."
Artist bio: Mark Weiss is an American rock 'n' roll photographer who grew up at the Jersey shore sneaking into concerts in the 70’s and selling his photos for a buck a piece. He captured and helped create the visual imagery of an entire musical decade. Mark had unprecedented access while traveling the globe with rock legends Ozzy Osbourne, Van Halen, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Guns N' Roses, KISS, Bon Jovi and more. Throughout his 35 year career, Mark's photographs have appeared in countless publications throughout the world. He created numerous multi-platinum album covers including Bon Jovi's SLIPPERY WHEN WET and Twisted Sister's STAY HUNGRY. Today Mark's iconic photographs are prominently displayed throughout the musical ROCK OF AGES in Las Vegas. His long-awaited first book THE DECADE THAT ROCKED will be released in 2016.
