“What inspired me to create this piece, Break Point, is the thousands and thousands of men and women who have been struggling and fighting for equality and justice, in the midst of a 400-year-old pandemic of American racism that has yet to be properly addressed or resolved. This piece seeks to embody the face of the endless struggle and fortified resolve of everyone living the Black American experience. We will turn our breaking points into break points: We will not be broken.”…Nikkolas Smith
The USTA Foundation Incorporated is donating 50% of the net proceeds from the auctioning of this item to When We All Vote, in honor of the artist.
