Jeffrey (J.T.) Hutchinson is regional president and head of Corporate Banking for PNC Bank, Portland. In this role, he is responsible for all aspects of PNC’s presence in Portland, as well as having direct responsibility for leading corporate banking, which serves middle market and large corporate companies in the region.
Prior to being named to his current role in July 2020, Hutchinson served as a senior vice president and managing director for PNC’s Public Finance Group. He managed a team of bankers focused on providing comprehensive financial services and consultation to public sector entities, including transportation, municipalities, public utilities, education and 501c3 organizations. Additionally, Hutchinson was head of PNC’s Public Finance national sector groups. In that role, he was responsible for integrating sector- and industry-based expertise to supplement regional business development across the United States.
Hutchinson joined PNC in 2007. He began his career in the global wealth management area at Morgan Stanley in Philadelphia, PA, and was a risk analyst at Highbridge Capital (Hedge Fund) in New York.
Since arriving in Portland, Hutchinson has become a member of the board for the Portland Business Alliance and Sport Oregon. He is also engaged as an investor partner with Social Venture Partners Portland. Before relocating to Portland, Hutchinson was active in the Philadelphia community where he served as a consultant for The Enterprise Center Community Development Corporation, was a mentor for Philadelphia Reads and a champion for Cystic Fibrosis research through Emily’s Entourage.
Hutchinson has a Master of Business Administration degree from Villanova University and a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
