Maggie Michael is a contemporary artist whose abstract paintings offer color combinations that clash as well as complement in a variegated apocalypse. A young painter working in Washington, D.C., Michael put a new spin, splatter and drip on the abstract expressionism pioneers when she launched her first show in 2002 after she received her MFA from American University.
