National Museum of the XXI Century Arts (MAXXI) is offering a private visit for a maximum of 10 people, to the Permanent Collection and to existing exhibitions, on a date to be decided, between September 20 and December 20, 2011, on Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday, between 7:30pm and 9pm.
Your private tour of MAXXI will take place when the museum is closed to the public giving you and your guests exclusive access to the Museum.
MAXXI is the first Italian national institution devoted to contemporary creativity and conceived as a broad cultural campus. MAXXI is managed by a Foundation constituted in July of 2009 by the Ministry for Cultural Heritage and houses two museums: MAXXI Art and MAXXI Architecture.
The programming of the activities – exhibitions, workshops, conferences, shows, projections, educational projects – reflects MAXXI’s vocation as a place for the conservation and exhibition of its collections but also, and above all, a laboratory for cultural experimentation and innovation, for the study, research and production of the aesthetic contents of out time.
The MAXXI building is a major architectural work designed by Zaha Hadid, located in Rome’s Flaminio quarter and featuring innovative and spectacular forms.
