On May 10th, 2005, my nephew Markus De Felipe was born with a brain paralysis (brain palsy) and his dreams will probably never come true. When such a dramatic event happens, everything in our lives changes/turns 180 degrees. Life changes in 1 minute, for good or bad and unfortunately, we all make the huge mistake of taking many simple things for granted, when those simple things are the most extraordinary ones; A sunset, a flower, breathing, time, waking up, walking, talking, kissing, smiling, holding hands or just closing our eyes…
Life is about giving, not receiving, because the best way to be happy is to make others happy. To do something good or an act of love/generosity for someone else, who has not been as lucky as most of us.
Paulo Coelho’s book (The Alchemist) gave me the wings to dream, Markus parents (Pedro/Madelaine) gave me the strength, and Markus smile gave me the inspiration and motivation to build this foundation so I can try to help others dream and make their dreams come true.
There is only one thing that makes a dream impossible to achieve: the fear of failure… and the only place where your dreams become impossible is in your own mind/thinking. Life is beautiful, dreams do come true and belong to everybody…so dream on, open your heart and Forever Dream!!!
