Overtime Bidding

Why did the auction closing time extend by 10 minutes after I placed my bid? This is called "Popcorn" Bidding: Bids placed within 10 minutes prior to a lot's scheduled closing time will extend the closing time on that lot an additional 10 minutes. This gives all bidders an opportunity to place a competing bid. All lots will close when there have been no bids placed within the last remaining 10 minutes.

Max Bid

Your Max Bid is the most you are willing to pay for an auction item. Consider placing a Max Bid if you don’t have time to monitor an auction. Your Max Bid won't be displayed to other bidders, but will be displayed as the current bid based on the bidding increment. You won’t pay the Max Bid amount unless another bid bumps you up to the next increment.

Watching Items

You can monitor items you're interested in without placing a bid by selecting Watch This Item after you've logged into your account. Now you can keep track of the closing date, next minimum bid and number of bids from your Account page. We’ll email you a reminder to bid the morning items you are watching close. You can remove an item from your watch list from your Account page or by clicking the Watch button again.

Closing Time

This is the time the auction will end, but "Popcorn Bidding" could add 10 minutes to the closing time. If a bid is placed within 10 minutes of the closing time, the auction will extend by 10 minutes. This allows competing bidders a chance to stay in the race.

Shipping fee reflects domestic U.S. shipping only. Shipping outside the U.S. will be calculated separately. International winners are responsible for all customs fees and import duties.

You and 7 guests will be treated to a reservation at Rao's for a Thursday night at 7:30 pm in April, May, June, or July 2012. The famed Italian eatery, known for being impossible to get into, only has about eight tables, and you can't get a seat at one of them unless you are "invited" by one of the table's "owners."

Charles Rao opened the first Rao's Restaurant in 1896. It has been passed down the family tree from Charles to Louis to Vincent and Anna to Ron and Frank. It has even changed locations, but it has always remained fresh, traditional, and delicious. The likes of Nicole Kidman, Madonna, Ron Howard, Mariah Carey, and Donald Trump, to name a few, have all taken in the elegance and intimate setting at Rao's. Terms: Valid for 1 Thursday night reservation for 8 people at 7:30 pm in April, May, June or July 2012, based on mutually agreed upon date. Food, drink and gratuity are not included. Cannot be resold or re-auctioned. Travel and accommodations are not included.

Shipping and Handling The minimum shipping, handling and applicable insurance for this item is $9.95. Additional shipping charges may apply based upon the location of the winner. Hard copies of tickets, travel certificates and merchandise are shipped via FedEx or professional shipping service. Detailed redemption information for non-tangible items will be emailed to the winning bidder.
