On April 15, 2010, WINGS WorldQuest will honor the accomplishments of visionary women explorers who are helping understand the complex issues we face today, at the 8th Annual Women of Discover Awards Dinner. Over 300 guests will journey through a world filled with the sights and sounds of plant and animal communication and the unparalleled wonder and beauty of ancient and vanishing traditions of Africa to recognize the contributions and celebrate the courage this year's five Women of Discovery award winners. Given in the areas of Earth, Sea, Air and Space, Field Research and Lifetime Achievement The Women of Discovery Awards recognize excellence in exploration and discovery in all areas of field research and environmental conservation. In addition to the five awardees, WINGS will also honor 7 Elected Fellows, who are also being recognized for their outstanding achievements and contributions to world knowledge.
