The Stephen Siller, FDNY, ‘Let Us Do Good’ Children’s Foundation was formed in 2001 to honor the legacy of Stephen Siller, a firefighter who sacrificed his life on 9/11 helping to save victims at the WTC site. Stephen, a father of five, was off-duty on 9/11 when he heard about the attacks in Lower Manhattan; he took the news as a call to duty, strapped his gear on his back and ran three miles through the Brooklyn-Battery Park Tunnel to join his FDNY brothers in saving innocent victims.
The Stephen Siller Children’s Foundation aims to honor Stephen’s memory by working closely with organizations that help children in need, including the New York Foundling – a safe home for abandoned children, KidSave, pediatric burn centers, children who have become victims of Hurricane Katrina, and the Freedom Alliance – Scholarship Fund . Proceeds from the Gala will benefit these charities, as well as the Wounded Warrior Project and Building Homes for Heroes.
This year, the Foundation is thrilled to host its 1st Annual Stephen Siller Children’s Foundation Gala on December 5th at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City.
