Prize4Life is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the discovery of treatments and cures for ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig's disease). Prize4Life currently administers the ALS Treatment Prize and the ALS Biomarker Challenge, both of which carry a prize purse of US $1 million. Thanks to our prizes, 80 research teams from around the world and from different disciplines are getting closer to solving the riddles that make ALS such an unrelenting and brutal disease. In addition to its prizes, Prize4Life is providing the research community with invaluable scientific infrastructure to expedite the search for a cure.
