The Mission of Life Project for Africa is to save life and give hope to the poor in Africa. LPA was initiated as a grassroots volunteer organization formed to fund and build, among other priorities, a health facility in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, where no medical care was formerly available. Our current projects include a nursery and primary school, maternal/child health programs, and e-learning centers to globally connect both
businesses and educators in rural African villages. LPA is committed to promoting sustainable services and self-sufficiency and providing health care, clean water, education, shelter, and orphan care for the most vulnerable.
In the summer of 2008, Supermodel Heidi Albertsen assumed the dual roles of Chief Ambassador and Fundraiser/Event Organizer for Life Project for Africa. As the organization’s Chief Ambassador, Heidi’s mission is to broaden Life Project’ strengths and efforts by creating global awareness and support for Tanzania and Africa through her international contacts and abilities.
Please join Heidi and Guest of Honor, Russell Simmons at the LPA's "Life, Hope and Because of You" benefit on Tuesday November 10, 2009 at Ben and Jacks Restaurant on New York City's 5th Avenue. The Evening will benefit the NJIA Health Center in Tanzania.
