About JetBlue Swing for Good and Bid for Good
The JetBlue Swing for Good Golf Classic is the airline’s largest fundraising event that began in 2009 to build awareness for JetBlue’s charitable partners. This annual event takes place in one of the country’s most renowned golf venues at Bethpage State Park and provides the opportunity to raise funds for two outstanding charities –KaBOOM! and PBS Kids.
As part of the Swing for Good mission, JetBlue has created Bid for Good as an extension of the golf event to build awareness for the benefiting charities and their work in JetBlue communities. For more information about JetBlue’s Corporate Social Responsibility, please visit www.jetblue.com/csr
KaBOOM!, is a national non-profit dedicated to saving play. Children today spend less time playing outdoors than any previous generation, a fact that is having disastrous consequences on their health, achievement levels, and overall well-being. Over its 15 years, KaBOOM! Has mapped over 85,000 places to play, built almost 2,000 playgrounds, and successfully advocated for play policies in hundreds of cities across the country. KaBOOM! also provides communities with online tools to self-organize and take action to support play on both a local and national level. For more information, visit www.kaboom.org
PBS KIDS, the number one educational media provider for kids, offers all children the opportunity to explore new ideas and new worlds through television, online and community-based programs. In collaboration with PBS member stations across the country, PBS KIDS serves over 190 local communities and 98% of American homes. This exceptional reach ensures that PBS KIDS makes a difference for America’s children. In fact, each year PBS KIDS opens worlds of discovery for more than 80% of all kids ages 2-8, helping to prepare them for success in school and life.
