RESEARCH: Our relationships with some of the finest medical institutions, research institutes and government agencies allows us to direct support and funding to those programs which demonstrate the most evidence-based hope for progress. Research funding is allocated to developing new treatments and improving existing ones, advancements in the surgical treatment of lung cancer and in the laboratory where scientists investigate the genomics of the disease in an effort to cure it.
Our passion and initiative are embedded in our personal and professional experiences. Our constituents are physicians, nurses, patients and their families. As a result, our message and voice are pure and resonate with the urgency which exists.
Our public awareness campaign incorporates many of our celebrity members as well as patients who are battling lung cancer. This dichotomy bolsters public awareness and sends a powerful and evocative message. Our presence is highly visible and includes television, radio, print, web and outdoor advertising.
Stand Up for a Cure concerts are original and highly acclaimed. Our unique ability to pair world-class talent with intimate and elegant venues creates an atmosphere of unity, elegance and authenticity. Our events allow for public attendance as well as premium ticket packages for our benefactors.
Through our proprietary community outreach we are able to bring our expertise and experience to patients and families. Our all-volunteer staff includes some of the most well trained and highly regarded physicians, nurses, social workers, attorneys, physical therapists and integrative medicine practitioners.
Strong alliances with some of the most influential agents, publicists, managers and executives in the entertainment industry. These relationships allow us to work with high-profile artists who are willing to donate their time.
An internal organization staffed by highly qualified personnel and composed of volunteers who are equally determined to fulfill our mission.
As a non-profit organization, Stand Up for a Cure's reputation is enhanced by its Board of Directors, employees and volunteer employees, many of whom are renown in their respective fields.
A unique medium to delivery our message. We are able to produce graceful and elegant evenings of world-class performers in small, intimate venues that would otherwise be impossible to produce.
On June 3, 2008 Jerry Seinfeld will perform at Madison Square Garden to benefit Stand Up for a Cure and lung cancer research at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center. The show is highly anticipated and we are thrilled to once again work with Stand Up For a Cure on their third online auction.
