As part of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, we are working with IMG Fashion to ask Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week designers to establish Runway to Service, asking participants to donate one item from their Spring collection to support the online auction of those items September 11, 2009 through September 30, 2009. Fashion designers with shows at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week are donating one article from their Spring line to support the auction. This is a chance to own a one-of-a-kind piece that will be the pattern of fashion to come. With your participation, not only will we raise money for worthy causes on 9/11, but we will together help to inspire others to commemorate 9/11 in a constructive, uplifting fashion. In doing so, we will help to leave a remarkable legacy, rekindling the spirit of unity, compassion, and service that swept the nation in the days and weeks that followed. That's what the September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance is really all about--bringing all of us closer together again.   |
